The closest you'll come to an amazing home cooked Cuban cuisine. At first I was a bit confused by the location as the restaurant seemed hidden and empty. However I decided to give it a shot, and glad I did. Started with beef empanadas which had this amazing garlic sauce. Followed by my bistec empanizado, which was delicious. My plate included black beans and plantains which was all delicious. Will def be back, what a GEM.

Restaurant inside hotel is very convenient. They serve American and Hispanic food, great combination to please any craving. Run by a Latino couple (husband Cuban, wife Mexican) their food is authentic. Portions are big too. They also have kids menu for the picky eaters. I recommend their Cuban sandwich and empanadas. Cafe con leche was perfecto too. Place is clean and provides a good service. Heads up that in slow season their business hours change in the weekdays. If I travel to LA again more likely I'll stay in this hotel just because of this restaurant and location.

I'm so glad that we found this gem! Being Cuban, I'm pretty particular about my Cuban food, and I can honestly say that everything we had here was delicious! It tasted authentic and had tons of flavor. The server was super sweet and attentive, too. We will definitely make this a regular place for dinner!!

Best kept secret in Burbank. Located just off the 5 freeway inside the Ramada Inn. Truly enjoyable, delicious food with friendly service. The space is clean and comfortable. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Finally some great Cuban food without a long drive! Everything I've tried so far, I would recommend. Breaded Pork Chop Breaded Steak Mixed Rice and Beans (Moros y Cristianos) Potato Balls Beef Empanadas Ham and Cheese Empanadas Cafe Bombon (sweet, creamy, smooth shot of espresso) Rice pudding I hear the yuca frita is great too.

Sigh... This is a hard review to write. And it comes during my yearly questioning of how to write these reviews. See, I've been to Michelin starred restaurants. Should all restaurants be measured against that? Or should they be judged based on doing the best at what they are? If you've read any of my reviews I end up going with the later. Let's get the negative out of the way: ambiance. There isn't any. You're virtually in the lobby of the hotel. It is pretty cold and open. That is the only negative. We were very warmly greeted and shown our table. I had picked the wife up from the airport and she was a little disappointed she couldn't have a beer, but they don't have their liquor license yet. Neither of us were all that hungry so we were directed toward the appetizers. We ordered the Papas Rellenas which were the best I've ever had. We also had an order of platanos which were also done to perfection. But the star of the show was the Empanadas. My biggest complaint about restaurant food is that they seem to be afraid to season the food. Not these Empanadas! The cumin burst in my mouth and my taste buds did a happy dance. Save room for some or take an order home. It's worth it.
